Karama 4 is an IDP site located in Damazin, Blue Nile State, where continued population movements are placing increasing pressure on already limited services. Living conditions remain challenging, with significant gaps identified in Protection, shelter, WASH, and education services. Protection risks are high due to ongoing insecurity, inadequate lighting, family separation, and heightened risks for women and children. Most households reside in fragile and substandard shelters, while access to safe water and appropriate sanitation facilities remains insufficient. Limited inter-sectoral coordination and the absence of dedicated site management continue to constrain an effective and coordinated response.
