Highlights Cross-border hostilities continue to drive civilian casualties and displacement in eastern and southeastern regions, with sporadic violence and unexploded ordnance (UXO) incidents still reported. Displacement remains high, with over 94,000 people affected across border provinces. Damage to infrastructure continues to disrupt access to health, education and other essential services, with some learning spaces still suspended. Border instability and explosive hazards remain a concern. UXO incidents continue to pose risks, particularly to children, andlimit safe movement and humanitarian operations. Flooding has compounded needs nationwide. Of 73,300 people affected, more than 31,600 are in urgent need of assistance, with assessments ongoing and response scaling up. Humanitarian response is expanding but remains constrained by access challenges, damaged infrastructure, and funding and logistical limitations. UNICEF and partners continue to deliver integrated, multi-sectoral assistance across conflict-affected areas and border points, while maintaining readiness to scale up in response to evolving needs.
