Country: Colombia Source: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Please refer to the attached Infographic. The 2026 allocation in Colombia will finance life saving humanitarian assistance in 149 municipalities across 16 priority departments, through a multisectoral approach (food security, health, WASH, protection, emergency shelter, and nutrition) and the use of cash based transfers to enhance efficiency and dignity in hard to reach areas. According to the 2026 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP), 6.9 million people require assistance, including 2.6 million facing extreme severity (with 1.2 million people prioritized), amid a complex crisis driven by armed conflict, violence, and climate variability. In 2025 alone, more than 1.6 million people were affected by conflict and 1 million by disasters. The coordinated, multisectoral approach fosters complementary actions among partners, integrating accountability to affected populations, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, and data collection, to ensure a holistic response that strengthens participation and humanitarian impact.
